Our Philosophy

Food as ritual.
Not routine.

The Nourished Table was born from a deep belief that cooking and eating together is one of the most sacred acts we can share — and one of the most endangered in modern life.

This masterclass isn't just about learning to make pho. It's about slowing down long enough to remember what food is for: nourishment of the body, awakening of the senses, and connection with the people across the table.

🌿

Flavorful

Every layer of pho is an education in building depth — from the charred aromatics to the final pinch of salt. You'll learn why it tastes the way it does, and how to make it yours.

🫀

Nourishing

At the heart of The Nourished Table is a food-as-medicine philosophy—seasonal, local, nutrient-dense ingredients prepared with intention to nourish both body and soul.

🤝

Connecting

This is a communal kitchen. You'll share the work and share the table — leaving not just with skills and recipes, but with the experience of cooking as an act of love and ritual.

Your 2.5-Hour Journey

What unfolds

A full sensory journey through the world of pho — from garden to garnish to table. You cook it, you eat it, together.

Every element of this experience has been designed with intention — the garden walk grounds you, the broth teaches patience, the condiments teach improvisation, and the tea brings you home.

On Arrival
Garden Tour & Sensory Welcome
We begin outside — walking through a working kitchen garden to explore seasonal herbs and aromatics. You'll learn to identify, smell, and connect with the ingredients before they ever touch heat. The garden tour is weather permitting. Guests are encouraged to bring a second pair of shoes to change into for the garden walk. Please note: the garden is seasonal and subject to the availability of nature. We prioritize using herbs from our kitchen garden. Depending on the season and nature's yield, we may source alternatives as needed.

The woman
behind the table

I grew up in a large family that loved to host, cook, and celebrate. Food was always at the center of everything. But for much of my life, it didn't feel that way for me personally. I've been cooking since I was nine — for a large family — and for years it felt more like obligation than love. Later, when I had my own family, cooking became a chore to get done and over with.

“When I experienced a significant health decline, food nourished and revived me. It transformed into a practice of intention and self-love — day by day — when I would plan and craft meals for my wellbeing that were nutrient-dense and incredibly flavorful.”

That shift changed everything. I began to slow down, to choose ingredients with care, to cook as an act of devotion to my own body. And somewhere along the way, what had once felt like a burden became one of the greatest joys of my life. I now savor each bite and think to myself that I am the luckiest person on earth to be eating this.

That transformation humbled me. Knowing what nutrition and intentional living had done for my own body and mind, I felt called to learn how to serve others — recognizing that we are each the same in our longing to feel well, yet beautifully unique in how we get there. I returned to school and became a certified functional nutrition and lifestyle practitioner, weaving together over two decades of pharmacy expertise, the science of food as medicine, and a lifelong love of cooking into a practice built to meet each person exactly where they are.

Today I bring that same intention — rooted in functional nutrition, ancestral wisdom, and a deep love for flavor — to every table I set and every meal I share. The Nourished Table is where that begins.

For the woman who gives everything to everyone — and has forgotten what it feels like to pour into herself. I guide women back to themselves through nourishing food practices, self-honoring rituals, and simple lifestyle shifts for lasting energy, clarity, and vitality.

“People often ask, ‘What's your favorite food?’ My answer — anything that tastes good. But if I had to pick one? Korean is my soul food.”
